  • EVE Online - Game Review [w/ Video]

For the past 10 days I've been reviewing the Online Game "EVE".

Many have seen the ads -

So let's just say that after 2-3 days, I was hooked....and I opted to pay for another 30 days of play.
Flying in space, blowing other spaceships up...reminds oneself of startrek - on steroids.

Game play takes the average gamer a little getting used to, but I wasn't alone.  Several thousand other people were learning the ropes (and still are)...so I was easily helped out in time of need by other online players.

It's an interesting online community over on EVE...with people teaming into convoys, building virtual armadas and going at it.

Spending time with character development and building ships...let's just say this game is well planned out.

I would recommend a broadband connection and a computer that can handle the graphics...but if you're a gamer, you won't be disappointed.

    I tested on two platforms:
     - one XP with 2 GB Ram - worked good, but adjusted graphic settings and worked better/smoother.
     - one Vista with 4GB Ram - worked smoothly, no graphic changes.

Feel free to join, test it out for the two week time frame...and yes, they don't require a credit card.
Also, if you earn enough in game credits - you can extend your game play by another 30 days without out of pocket expense.

So, what's it cost if you want to be a full time gamer at EVE
    First Month - $19.95....the $14.95 thereafter.

    Rating?
Four and a half stars out of Five.

    Here's what EVE can be:

    Good Gaming!
