  • The Sacrifices Made

Growing up around the Military, I've always respected those who put their lives on the line day in and day out - so we can live the way we want - in peace.

Whenever I see someone in military uniform, I see someone with purpose - with the knowledge and understanding in how to keep my family safe.

We are allowed to speak what we want, and believe however we do, in this country due to the ultimate sacrifices made by so many.

We sing the national anthem, even without fully understanding that the flag stood standing because it was propped up with the fallen who kept it raised.

Freedom is never free, and it requires us to have a sense of responsibility to set an example for others to follow.

Whether the sacrifice is standing post on a base behind a computer, or going further into harms way with a weapon in hand...

Our way of life is possible because of the Veterans who have served.

Give Honor to our Veterans, as they have served and honored you with their service.

  • My Dentist experience - Round 1

Ok, last week I went to the dentist - and had a filling put in.

Suffice it to say, we all get cavities or have to have our teeth looked at...so for those who dog the dentist...don't.

My dentist is really cool, and the staff in the office has been really gracious and patient dealing with me.

I showed up for the appointment to take care of one cavity, and then afterward was needing my 6 month cleaning...

    Now, picture this...

For an hour, all I see was a combination of this light...and three hands near my mouth...

But allow me to introduce who the team was...

Here's my dentist: Dr. S.  and his assistant...

My Dentist looks like the guy from Heroes (the puppet master...as played by David Lawrence)...and the nurse does look a lot like Priscilla Presley (except with shorter hair).   Both were really cool... (and David Lawrence is a pretty cool guy too...haven't met Ms. Presley...)

No pain during the drilling, scraping...applying the filling...

But afterward it felt like someone did slap me upside my face (to be expected).

After the dentist, I was hungry....

let's just say nachos are easier to eat than burritos when half your mouth is numb. :)

    Until later, I'm fried....

(more on this story during the next impromptu LIVE webcast)
