And the Transition Begins
I'm finally able to take a breather from a very busy week to catch up on some blogging.
Ok, let's do a quick run down:
If you have been a premium account holder on Xanga, your blog and account are being migrated over.
E-mails were sent to those who contributed to the fundraiser - or are in the early bird registration. E-mails were sent to the e-mail address associated with the financial transaction. So be sure to check your e-mail accounts. If someone else paid for your account, they will need to finish the process by checking their e-mails and applying your username to the form provided in the e-mail.
If you haven't archived, do so NOW. And be sure to download your archives to your computer.
If you are not premium, and you opted not to transition to 2.0 - your account will remain with Xanga 2.0 - but your blog will not transfer. You will STILL be able to comment, friend/subscribe with people.... you just will not be able to blog.
The sites on the Xanga network may experience some interruption during this transition. Expect this.
Remember, data is being migrated to new servers that have been set up - so I would suspect the next couple of weeks are going to be a bit hectic.
For those who are outside of the USA and want to contribute, but not able to via paypal or visa/credit card - send a private message to Xanga's facebook page.
Why Xanga's FB page? well, with all the transitions going on with the site - some folks may have issues with navigating around it for the next week.
Ok...
brace yourselves, and hang on.
Here we go!

I just sent my email back to John / Xanga. I hope the transition goes well. I used some of my Xanga credits to get a month of Premium so that my data can be migrated too.
Nervous, but optimistic.
I donated and paid for a year's subscription to the new Xanga...I got an e-mail saying it was a receipt for my payment...but got no form to fill out. ??? I only have this one site and one username. So will I still get the form to fill out?
Thanks!
I'm excited about the new Xanga!
HUGS!!!
Wow! The form just came through on my e-mail!
I'm hanging on.
Thank you for all that you have done Joel. I hope you will be able to feet up and enjoy Xanga 2.0.
