Day 50 - The Campaign Continues
If 18 years of marriage has taught me anything, it's that if you want something, you also have to work hard at keeping it.
We can either accept what is going on in our lives, and live life with an attitude that nothing can be changed and it's going to go away OR we can make a choice and be the change that we want.
My thought regarding Xanga 2.0 is that we will have the opportunity to do what Ghandi has shared:
“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” - Ghandi
But that change starts with you as an individual, and then as a group - with everyone's input on how we can make Xanga the best that it can be.
Will it take work? Absolutely!
The Xanga team is working hard at providing us the tools so we can continue doing what we want to do.
Nothing is Impossible, once decision and effort is applied.

@Kampj - you need $2,500 a day in order for this goal to be met. *crickets*
It looks like thexangateam wasn't advertising much. They're not even advertising on their own site. They should at least put a big banner up that links to the campaign. It's a little bit late now. I'm not sure what they're thinking, but something is fishy.
@milky_vampyre - nothing is 'fishy'. They're focus is getting the new site ready.
@edlives - It would only take about 5 mins to put a screenshot up and they haven't done it yet. A banner linking to the campaign wouldn't take long either. They need money to do 2.0 so that should be their first priority. I'm sure a lot of people on xanga are unaware that xanga 1.0 is coming to a close.Something is definitely fishy though, like dead fish floating on the carpet and in the toilet. The writing quality on xanga is poor and they expect us to pay for that? They're lucky some of us even write here for free.Anyways, they should allow us to try the new site for free before paying. It's humerous that they would toss out such an ultimatum.

@milky_vampyre - I'm still waiting for some of my other Xangan friends to return, before we're ousted. Some haven't been on here, since mid April and early May. If they do return and Xanga 1.0's gone, I know they'll be shitting bricks. LOL!
@Tempguestbrief - There hasn't been one in my universal inbox. There's hardly anything unless I go search around the net. It should be at the top of the front page where everyone can see it. It looks like business as usual around here. It's kind of weird.
@RealistMe - I know. You'd think they'd at least give us 6 months. They didn't give us enough time to prepare for death. I wonder if they'll extend the deadline again if we come up short. Haha deadline. All the sudden it makes so much sense where that word came from.
@milky_vampyre - Yeah, I know what you mean. 2 nights before The Xanga Team announced they were supposedly "shutting down," I was already thinking about doing another blog hunt because my viewership was getting low.
